2. Scope of Work:
    Research, design, rapid prototype, and improve the existing small scale vehicle design. Ensure the design is robust that can withstand a 3 ft fall from the track. Ensure the design is modular allowing for shorter 3D print times (ideally less than 6 hours per modular piece), and ease of assembly. Must be able to print from our design center. Ensure the design accounts for electronics and battery storage, and user ergonomics (e.g., chairs, windows, luggage storage, bike rack, lighting, HVAC, airflow, autonomous opening door, etc). Ensure the design has proper mounting for the electronics and batteries. Ensure the design provides easy access for internal electronics. Ensure the design includes space for sensors (ultrasonic, RFID, etc), status leds, switches, inductive charging, etc. Calculate expected thermal loads and heating and cooling requirements for a vehicle (posted by Erik Hagstrom).

Production Week

This week, we are completing manufacturing the cabin. Monday: We looked at the STL files for our cabin parts to see if anything needs to be changed or modified. The other teams are starting to 3D print their parts, so Victor and Arushi watched to make sure the pieces come out well. The Prusa printer was making it hard for us to remove the pieces once they were done because we applied glue on the printing bed to allow the filament to stick to the bed. It took us a while to remove the pieces because they were stuck to the printing bed. We decided it would be better if we did not apply any glue, but maybe if we could look into a flexible bed that the pieces can be peeled off of. We also got acrylic sheets and super glue for the windows on the cabin. We realized we couldn't cut the acrylic with a box cutter or the tools we had in the shop. Final Design Week

This week, we only worked for three days since 4th of July was a day off. Monday: Arushi finished drawing our conceptual design, and finalizing it. We also created a spreadsheet for our bill of materials and inventory. We decided to begin printing out our model, so we started with the bottom piece, which takes about 4 hours to print. The printer had issues in terms of the filament not being able to stick to the base of the 3D printer, and so we planned to re-print the next day. Tuesday:  Victor worked on fixing the Prusa 3D printer and TAZ printer, reset the printer's settings twice, while Daniel and Arushi began preparing the presentation for next week, and Ben worked on figuring out how to program the Arduino. Thursday:  We revised the presentation that we will be presenting next week. We were also able to get both 3D printers to work so our production is going to be doubled.
